Carrington Behavioral Health’s Mission is to provide outpatient behavioral health and addiction services to the adults and youth residing in Cleveland, and surrounding communities, to provide short-term residential and behavioral health services to youth and their families to promote recovery, positive relationships, and successful integration into the community.
Carrington Behavioral Health aspires to deliver positive outcomes by both qualitative and quantitative measurements that significantly improve the lives and opportunity of all clients through innovative behavioral health and family centered behavioral health and residential services.
With the mission and core values, the organization is proactive and ready to meet challenges from the external environment and to prepare our youth and community clients to become assets to themselves, their families and their communities.
Carrington Behavioral Health provides person centered, trauma informed outpatient behavioral health services to children and adults in the Cleveland and East Cleveland Communities. During our assessment sessions, behavioral health and addictions needs are identified and prioritized. Outpatient assessment, individual, family and group therapies are offered, as well as addiction services for adults and children.
For our residential clients, Carrington recognizes that there are children with severe emotional, as well as social, disabilities that require treatment and rehabilitative services in a residential setting. Systems of care like Carrington's Children’s Residential Centers help children with emotional disturbances, and their families, cope with the challenges of difficult mental, emotional or behavioral problems with the primary goal of reuniting child and family as soon as possible. For these children, it is necessary to have a high level of supervision, structure and trauma informed therapeutic services to overcome behavior, which may threaten the safety of the individual, the individual's family, or community. Recognizing residential treatment as an intervention in the continuity of care, the goal is to transition back to a less-restrictive setting. Carrington will provide a clinically informed respite—an intervention to help a family restore equilibrium, stability and afford sanctuary, working in full and active partnership with state and county agencies, schools, parents and the community.
