Carrington Behavioral Health offers a full suite of programs, including male and LGBTQ+ residential for residents throughout Ohio and surrounding states.
Programs shall be accessible to children and their parents regardless of race, color, religion, or national origin.
Carrington Behavioral Health offers multiple services for residents using a client centered treatment approach individualized to meet the client’s specific treatment needs.
Carrington School offers an on-site educational program with a curriculum widely accepted by home school districts to prevent the youth from being reported as truant. Students remain enrolled in their home school district and receive individualized instruction that is aligned with Core State Standards. The onsite Carrington educational program is administered by the Northeast Ohio Educational Service Center (NEOESC). Students are taught by teachers who have 5-Year Ohio Professional Licenses. Students receive small group instruction ae well as Special education students receive specially designed instruction per the IEP. The MTSS, RTI and PBIS Frameworks help students obtain behavioral and academic support in a therapeutic educational environment. Carrington students are also administered ODE-approved vendor assessments for benchmarking and progress monitoring. All IEP goals and related services are addressed, while IEPs and Evaluation Team Reports are prepared, when necessary, based upon coordination with the school district.
Overall, the educational services provided at Carrington are aligned with the Ohio Learning Standards and Objectives. Ohio Department of Education Licensed Teachers provide all oft eh state aligned academic content subject areas in a blended learning model framework. The Benefits of being a Carrington Student:Students that are educated in our program receive their education from NEOESC Teachers. The educational team onsite are provided regular professional development. This maintains academic rigor and elicits best educational teaching practices. The students of Carrington remain actively enrolled with their home district of responsibility. This unique structure makes it convenient to place youth. Carrington’s Principal designs a school schedule per student, recommended by the students’ home school and school Counselor, this keeps the student on track for graduation.
